So in my last post, I encouraged you to pause and reflect on what you’ve accomplished this year and what goals you may have fallen short of.

You might be wondering, “Why bother? It’s all in the past right?”

Because looking at what you did and didn’t achieve helps you to identify the areas that you may want to work on in 2016, decide what goals you want to strive for and create your plan for getting there.

Looking back and reflecting also gives you an opportunity to celebrate the small and big wins of the year. Giving you that sense of completion and success which helps build positive muscle memory, so you can rinse and repeat the things that worked again and again.

So let’s break this down shall we?

year end review wheel

Rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10.

Ten being really great and one being not so good.

How did you do in the areas of:

All of these areas help create a well-balanced and happy life. If any of these areas are out of balance, it can throw the whole system out of whack.

As you look at your scores, ask yourself,

The first step to creating positive change in your life and career is identifying the challenge areas that had you stuck, so you can shift the belief or pattern that got you there in the first place.

The more consciously aware you become of these areas, the easier it is to change out those old patterns for new empowering ones that support your growth, development and forward movement.

So where did you get stuck, side tracked or even derailed this year?

What took you wayyyy outside your comfort zone?

A wise person once told me that your biggest challenges are often your biggest opportunities for growth. So, if you don’t take time to learn the lessons from those challenges, then you are bound to keep repeating them so you can have yet another “opportunity for growth.”

What lessons have you learned from your challenges this year?

I’d love to know!

Here’s to stretching and growing!
